For today’s recipe, Natalia is sharing a super easy and delicious Pickled Onions recipe that you can pair with pretty much everything you want to! It’s also easy to store, Natalia loves to store hers in Mason Jars!!!
2 cups red wine vinegar
1 cup red wine + 1 cup water
2 Tbls salt
1 Tbls sugar
2-3 bay leaves
10 (approximately) small Spanish onions or whatever you can fit into a mason jar.
Combine all ingredients except onions in a bowl make sure to dissolve all sugar and salt before pouring into the jar. Cram as many onions as possible into the jar then pour the mixture over the onions and into the jar to cover the onions completely. Store in a cool dry place once you open it must be refrigerated.
Today is National Mason Jar Day and to celebrate, Natalia shared some other ways that she loves to use Mason Jars. She usually makes drinks and cocktails in the Jars so she can carry them to the beach or pool parties in her backyard. She also loves to store some ingredients that she frequently uses in her recipes, for example, crushed red peppers.
